Launch of open source software Ubuntu 9.10 Release Candidate (RC) by Canonical, was launched simultaneously with the latest operating system from Microsoft, Windows 7. On Thursday (22/10), Canonical released operating system has ever been called Karmic Koala, and a further development to the final version began on 29th October. Koala Karmic RC can be downloaded for server, desktop and netbook version, from Ubuntu website. For Ubuntu 9.10 RC desktop version can also be installed on a standard laptop. This Ubuntu 9.10 RC software is an upgrade from previous versions of Ubuntu 9.04, which brings the code Jaunty Jackalope.Built on the latest Linux kernel 2.6.31.1, Ubuntu 9.10 RC offers faster boot time, improvisation interfaces and programming tools with a variety of desktop graphical environment. Desktop graphics including the software integration IM (Instant-Messaging), web browser, document viewer, and multimedia software.
Koala Karmic is equipped with a new tool called "Ubuntu Software Center" that allows the user to remove or add programs, like on Windows. This operating system also has fixed a lot of bugs from the previous editions of Ubuntu and support for additional hardware drivers. Canonical preparing online storage and file-sharing service called Ubuntu One, which is in Ubuntu 9.10 RC. Users can backup, share or synchronize data via the Ubuntu One website. These services give 2GB free online storage capacity for users of Ubuntu, and additional capacity of 50GB with price $ 10 per month.
