Web site making have been more easy from when was its found. Now we can use cms that can be modified to our need. Make web site doesn’t need to know about script anymore. Yet when im took studying about making web site when college they never teach about cms but instead teaching the old fashion way. Using notepad at first learning and you know what im very happy when making static site using html code. My first html code “Hello world” (^_^).

Next step was using dreamweaver ofcourse everything goes more advance than before and more difficult. Well first using php code still using notepad but its still static web site. No big deal I still understand it a bit. Then its move to next step (o_O) using database with php code. Its become dynamic web site. Its fun at first but the more I learn its start to pain in the head. But when I seen my friend that I can tell hes good at this my code still simple. He write php code connnected with mysql and I compare with mine his code was more short than the one I wrote with same result and better security I guess (-_-‘ don’t want to admit it).

CMS code is confusing to me even sometimes I can understand a bit about the code inside but I hardly follow where the code flow. Lets say it takes time too to understand how to use cms because every cms has its own use and setup. Ofcourse its more easy because we can use premade website we can set to our need. I already try 4 cms until now. Joomla, SMF(Simple Machine Forum), Coppermine, and Drupal.

Joomla had many option on it I confuse at first but its more easy to learn than Drupal maybe because I have Joomla book to learning (^_^). I like SMF too but because its light forum and can be opened through wap broser (can be opened anywhere with cell phone). Coppermine is good too for managing our picture gallery, easy to use. But after try all of those I ended keep using Joomla because it can be added with extension that can have function same as SMF and Coppermine. The last one I mention is Drupal, I heard from my friend is much better than Joomla but its hard for me to use. Try it several time and it seems I cant understand well how to use its feature and managing menu. So I ended dumping it. Wordpress I only have slight view on it that because im not really use it just help admin Wordpress in my workplace to manage it. Somehow I only opened few times the Wordpress admin area. Confusing maybe that because I not get used to it. Still it didn’t seem meet what I want.

Making site with article, forum, gallery, and download file using 1 cms for easy management. And Joomla can make that happen (^_^) like this one I made using Joomla version 1.5.13. I even added with social feature that can allow other people register and make connection, give comment to other user profile, sent private message. End of word explore my site and you will know. Still fixing some part though about articles I want it can be managed like Wordpress, no extension for that yet suitable what I need.
